Signed Open Letter from your Constituents - Ceasefire in Gaza

Dear Jonathan Penrose

At 4am this morning, starving people in Gaza queued up for flour as aid trucks finally entered the North of Gaza. 103 of these people were shot dead and 700 were injured. This is yet another horrific war crime. When are you going to speak out against the murderous atrocities committed by Israel (with the UK government being entirely complicit)?.

"It is the fastest decline in a population's nutrition status ever recorded. What that means is that children are starving at the fastest rate that the world has ever known." - Melanie Ward, CEO Medical Aid for Palestine.

What can be done about this? An immediate ceasefire. Opening of all border crossings (there are 7, including Rafah and Karem Shalom where miles of aid trucks are parked, waiting to get in) to allow delivery of aid. Refunding of UNWRA to provide services to the Palestinian population. Evacuation of all who need urgent medical care. Punitive measures by our government and the international community, including financial and political sanctions upon Israel for perpetrating an ongoing genocide on Palestinians.

Best regards
