The collective knowledge of humanity is a thread in the universe, essential to human progress. Throughout our history, new technology has propelled us out of the dark ages and into the light, past famine and plague to scientific breakthroughs that improve life and fulfill individual purpose and agency. And what we teach our children matters. Education matters! Free of ignorance and with the humility that we know little today of the wonders the future holds.

So-called artificial intelligence (synthetic knowledge) is that future. And it foretells a dangerous ignorance that some of those who would claim to be "educators" harbor biases and misguided agendas that would withhold knowledge from our children, the next generation. Those who may sign this letter believe in giving our successors on this earth the tools they will need to fight climate change, peacefully negotiate complex conflict, and fullfil a promise that knowledge, prima facie, is the light to a better future.
