SU Petition & Pledge for Palestine:

In light of the genocide Israel is committing in Gaza and the greater Israeli occupation of Palestine, the Palestinian Solidarity Forum of Stellenbosch University (SU PSF) calls on the senate of Stellenbosch University to implement the following demands:

-Call for the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

-Call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza.

-Adopt the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel.

-Adopt comprehensive BDS by boycotting Israeli products and products in support of Israel.

-Release a statement in which the senate expresses solidarity with the people of Palestine, condemns Israel’s onslaught of Palestinian civilians, and condemns Israel’s destruction of infrastructure (with specific focus on academic institutions).

Please sign this petition if you agree that Stellenbosch University should implement the SU PSF's demands.

If you are a member of the Stellenbosch University Community, please comment specifying your relationship with the university. (E.g student, lecturer, researcher, dean etc.)

This petition doubles as a pledge. By signing this petition you pledge to implement the SU PSF's demands in your own capacity, where it is relevant to you. (Eg. as a student, boycotting Israeli products and Israeli supporting products OR as an academic, refusing to collaborate with an Israeli university etc.)

This is not legally binding, but rather a manner of ensuring that members of the SU community will mobilise in support of Palestine, regardless of the senate's response.
