We, the undersigned, want all children at Gateacre School to receive quality education, and to thrive and prosper within the school system.
Some of us have children enrolled at the school, have worked at the school, or live in the surrounding community. Some of us have even removed our children from the school due to unsatisfactory conditions.
This is why we are raising concerns about patterns of troubling conduct by senior leadership, including failure to identity SEN and create inadequate SEND pathways, safeguarding blind spots, dismissive attitudes to staff and student welfare, overreliance on internal exclusion, punitive measures that disrupt and hinder student learning, and administrative and governance weakness which lead to grievances raised by parents, staff, and students to be ignored.
Since formal complaints made to the Gateacre School and Northern Schools Trust are often brushed aside side or openly ignored, we're calling for independent investigation into to the conduct of senior leaders of the school in failures to protect both student and staff welfare.
