Petition for the Extension of Principal Chris Mastrangelo's Tenure at Malden High School

We, the undersigned members of the Malden High School community -- including staff, students, and caregivers -- respectfully submit this petition calling for the extension of Principal Chris Mastrangelo's tenure at Malden High School through the end of the 2027 school year.

Principal Mastrangelo has demonstrated exceptional leadership, unwavering dedication, support, and a deep commitment to the success and well-being of every member of the Malden High School community. extending his tenure is crucial for maintaining the stability, positive trajectory, and sustained improvement that the school has experienced under his direction.

Our Call to Action

We urge the Malden School Committee and the Superintendent to formally offer Principal Chris Mastrangelo a contract extension that secures his role as Principal of Malden High School through the conclusion of the 2026-2027 academic year. This action will ensure continuous, stable, and high quality leadership for the benefit of all Malden High School students and the community.

The Malden School Committee will meet on Monday, December 8th at 6:00 PM at Malden City Hall (215 Pleasant Street.) This is our chance to show strong, visible community support and to advocate for the fair treatment and continued leadership of Principal Mastrangelo.

We encourage all supporters to attend the meeting in person.

If you feel comfortable, please consider offering public comment (This is usually at the beginning of school committee meetings.). Respectful, heartfelt statements about Principal Mastrangelo’s impact on students, families, and the school community can make an enormous difference.
