Restrictions on the disabled persons travel pass

We are a group of young people with disabilities who live in East Yorkshire. We believe the restrictions on the disabled persons travel passes should be revoked.

The fact you cannot use the travel pass before 9:30am is a problem for many people all over the United Kingdom.

Not being able to use the pass before 9:30am can prevent people from travelling to work, college, school, meetings etc.

People whom have a disabled buss pass have so for a reason, the reason being they are disabled and in some way struggle or are not able to carry out every day activities to the ability that everyone else is able to. There’s disabilities and life long conditions don’t just disappear overnight and come back at 9:30 in the morning they are permanent and impact your life at all hours of the day.

Our aim is for the government to review the restrictions on the disabled travel passes so that people with disabilities are not restricted from life.

By signing this open letter you are helping hundreds of thousands of people if not more across the United Kingdom and you are helping to make the change 💪🏻
